McClure's Part Two

  • leftover brine from McClure's Spicy or Garlic Dill Pickles (32oz)
  • fresh vegetables (cucumbers, carrots, cauliflower) or hard-boiled eggs


Once you’ve finished eating McClure’s Pickles, save the juice. Grab some extra-firm tofu, carrots, cauliflower or cucumbers from the market. Clean them thoroughly and cut them into smaller pieces. Place the vegetables inside the McClure’s jar, making sure they are covered completely with the brine. Cap the jar and place in your refrigerator. Wait about 2 weeks and you will have “new” refrigerator-pickled food using your leftover McClure’s brine.
