McClure’s Gumbo

Ingredients:
1/2 cup rice
1.5 cups water
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 jar McClure’s Bloody Mary Mixer
10-15 small cooked shrimp
Directions: Cook or steam rice until tender. Sautee some shrimp in a frying pan. Shake McClure’s Bloody Mary Mixer and pour into pot with rice. Add shrimp and simmer together on low heat for 5 minutes. Serve in bowls as a McClure’s Bloody Mary Shrimp Gumbo. Serves two.

Pour the remaining McClure’s brine and contents into a roasting pan. Place desired meat, poultry, fish or vegetables in roasting pan. Turn oven to 375 and roast to desired tenderness.
McClure’s Round II

Once you’ve finished eating McClure’s Pickles, save the juice. Grab some extra-firm tofu, carrots, cauliflower or cucumbers from the market. Clean them thoroughly and cut them into smaller pieces. Place the vegetables inside the McClure’s jar, making sure they are covered completely with the brine. Cap the jar and place in your refrigerator. Wait about 2 weeks and you will have “new” refrigerator-pickled food using your leftover McClure’s brine.

Using your favorite gin or vodka, add a splash of McClure’s spicy or garlic dill brine to liven up your cocktail. Garnish with a pepper, pickle or garlic clove left in the McClure’s jar.
McClure’s Pickle Pizza

Dice up 3 or 4 McClure’s Pickles Spicy or Garlic Dill Spears and 2 or 3 cloves of the garlic from the pickle jar. Place on uncooked pizza dough with your other favorite ingredients. Cook and enjoy a tangy or spicy pizza ala McClure’s.

Using the remaining McClure’s pickle brine (about ½ jar once you’ve eaten the pickles), fill the rest of the jar with your favorite tomato juice, and add a dash of black pepper. Cap, shake, call your friends and pour with or without vodka.
